Travelling to India seemed a distant dream, but finally I decided with three other female friends, all in our 50s, to tick this off our bucket list! We came across Chai RoseTravels and I’m so glad I did. From my first contact with the lovely Ailsa and Tracey, I felt like we were in safe hands. We were nervous travellers, but they handled all of our travel needs with professionalism and empathy and their experience and knowledge of India ensured we felt excited for the trip. The itinerary was perfectly tailored for our time there and Vikash was the best guide ever! Nothing was too much trouble and he was calm, charming, very knowledgeable and had a lovely sense of humour at all times – definitely needed when travelling with us! He ensured we felt completely safe and relaxed throughout our whole trip, having him there to hold our hands was worth its weight in gold. Chai Rose Travel. My first trip to India – A journey and an experience of a lifetime.
I have recently returned from my first trip to India. It was one of the most heart warming, humbling, captivating and beautiful experiences of my life. India has a vibrant culture , a rich history and warm hospitality. I was initially very nervous about travelling to India on my own with regard to safety and traveling as a single woman, and I was also feeling overwhelmed with the question of where to begin with the planning of my trip.
Ailsa and Tracey from Chai Rose Travel planned a personal tailor made itinerary for me around my interests, expectations and budget. I wanted to see some of the main sights in the area but I also wanted to experience raw rural India and local life off the beaten track. Chai Rose Travel certainly delivered and an incredible personal itinerary was drawn up for me.
We explored the Golden Triangle which included Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore and Jaipur. My visit to the Taj Mahal was breathtaking and the bustling streets of Old Delhi, the majestic forts of Rajasthan and the enchanting Pink City, Jaipur were exhilarating.
I would like to say a huge thank you to my amazing tour guide, Vikash Dubey, whose knowledge and love of his country was so tangible. He also took the stress out of all arrangements and everything ran seamlessly. Vikash was welcoming , patient and easy to build a good rapport with. He paid great attention to detail. He speaks Hindi and communicates in English very well.
My driver, Suresh Gurjar, was a very professional and accomplished driver , not only navigating India’s busy roads with ease, but always making sure we were comfortable and safe. He was punctual, courteous and was my driver for the whole trip.
Vikash and Suresh from Chai Rose Travel are a professional team and I received royal treatment my entire trip. They took care of all the logistics and travel arrangements and I didn’t have a moment’s concern.
Ailsa and Tracey organized lovely hotels as well as a high tea at the famous Jaipur’s Rambagh Palace, dinner in Agra’s Oberoi and drinks at Jaipur’s Taj Amer Hotel. I also ate at beautiful restaurants but drank masala chai tea from little roadside stalls and tasted local delicacies off the beaten track.
This trip exceeded all expectations, and I can’t wait to return to explore further. I can highly recommend Chai Rose Travel if you are looking for a personal, enriching, eye opening and magical adventure, all in very safe hands.
