You will land at the fabulous international airport in New Delhi, the capital city of India, and your first experience of the vibrancy and bustle of this vast country. After relaxing for a while in your hotel, you will take a tuk-tuk ride around the old city to get your bearings. After recuperating for the night, you will have a day of thrill-seeking! You will head up to the impressive Amber Fort that overlooks the city and enjoy a ziplining adventure above the battlements of the fort and with views of the Aravalli Hills. Later on, you will visit a responsible elephant sanctuary, where you will be able to feed, walk, and bathe rescued elephants. No riding of these majestic creatures; just gentle interaction and education from those who care for them.
The next part of your tour will take you to the jungle town of Ranthambhore. You will visit Ranthambhore National Park, home of the Bengal tiger. You will have an early start in your open-topped jeep, where you will hopefully glimpse the iconic tigers, as well as leopards, sloth bears, and a multitude of rare birds. After your jungle adventure, it will be time to head to Agra, with a visit to the ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri. That first glimpse of this spectacular building will be one you will simply never forget. After the Taj Mahal, you will explore the impressive Agra Fort and then join a walking tour through the local markets, side alleys, and the workshops of local artisans. Later that day, you will return to Delhi with some time to fit in some last-minute shopping, eating, and sightseeing.
